Niall Murray would like to let you know that he will be finishing in Corduff on Friday. He has gotten a new position in a different school. The staff of the Junior School wish him the very best in his new job.

Below is a list of courses that may be of interest to you. If enough names are received for any or all of the courses they could be run before Christmas. Please return the slip your child was given as soon as possible or contact the school office.

Maths Games for 1st Class Parents

Ms O'Neill and Mr Murray are organising Maths afternoons for parents of 1st Class children.
Come and learn how to play some simple games which can be then played at home to support your child.

Ms Baker's Class, Room 12 - Tuesday 11th October: 1:45 in the Parent's Room.
Ms McKay's Class, Room 13 - Wednesday 12th October: 1:45 in the Parent's Room.
Ms Mooney's Class, Room 14 - Thursday 13th October: 1:45 in the Parent's Room.

Courses for parents

Welcome back to all of you. 

This year we hope to run 4 courses starting the week of 19th September 2011.  Here is a list of the classes:

• Crafts -  Thursday 22nd September @ 9:30 in the parents room
• Personal Development - Thursday 22nd September @ 12:30 in the parents room
• Computers, Fetac Level 4 - Tuesday 20th September @ 9:30 in thee Adult VEC in Riversdale
• English with Writing - Monday 19th September @ 11:15 in the parents room

A form has been sent home with every child. Please return it as soon as possible, as places fill up fast.

I hope to organise further courses in First Aid, Irish and Healthy Food Made Easy.  If interested, please let me know.

Courses for parents

A quick update on courses that are ongoing and still have places and above all are free! Yoga is continuing every Wednesday at 9:15 and Craft is continuing every Thursday at 9:15, both in the Parents room.

2 new courses will be put in place if there is sufficient interest. The first course is 1st Aid. The second course is Healthy Food Made Easy.

If parents would like more information contact Niall. A note has been sent home with your child, please fill out the slip and return it as soon as possible.

Defibrillators

The Parent's Association organised a bag packing day in Dunnes Stores, Ongar to raise money for defibrillators for both the Junior and Senior Schools.  It was a great success, and all involved enjoyed taking part. 

We raised €1379, so we can now proceed with the purchase of the defibrillators. 

Once we have purchased a defibrillator we will train staff members.

Irish Course

An Irish course is starting on MONDAY 25th FEBRUARY at 9:15 in the Parent's room.
On the note your child brought home, please put down areas that you would like covered.
This course is designed to help parents with their children's homework and to learn a few phrases.

Courses for parents

Welcome back after the Christmas break. Our courses start up again next week. Childcare continues every Tuesday, the crafts every Thursday (there are still some places available on this course) and finally computers takes place in Riversdale Adult Education Centre every Friday at 11:15.

There is a new course starting next Wednesday 19th January in the parents room at 9:15. This course is YOGA. A light mat is recommended. If you are interested please return the form that was sent home with your child ASAP.

Blanchardstown ITB is starting a work analysis programme, detail available from Niall Murray.
